About Me

I started my business, assisting clients with their book manuscripts, business letters, editing theses and dissertations, and transcribing medical reports and focus groups. In those days, the method of producing these items was using an IBM Selectric I typewriter that had no self-correcting feature. Was that a challenge or what? My first document was a dissertation comparing the flow of 14th Century Spanish and Old Provencal poetry. After typing each page, I went back and handwrote the tildes, cedillas, and all of the other diacritical marks. If my client changed anything on a page, it meant retyping the entire page and any other pages after it that were changed—spacing-wise—due to the change on the original page.

Fast forward to today, and I am proud to be a small business owner in the thriving community of Sunnyvale, California, in the heart of the Silicon Valley. On a typical day, I might be meeting with a client for a resume intake, transcribing an interview for a law enforcement internal investigation, editing and formatting a thesis or a dissertation, or editing the statement of purpose for a student applying to a university as an undergrad or as a graduate student. I love what I do; enjoy working with my clients; and, most of all, delight in making a difference in people’s lives.

In regards to writing resumes, I attend 2 to 3 industry-specific conferences each year; listen to cutting-edge industry leaders; meet with colleagues; and hear about the latest hiring trends from researchers, experts in the field, and panels of hiring managers. I keep up with industry certifications and also regularly participate in teleseminars and webinars as well as e-lists from the organizations of which I am a member.

You will find me to be an engaging person who listens carefully to who you are and how you represent yourself. I put people at ease and make the process enjoyable.
