Applying for college and graduate school can be complicated, time-consuming, and often overwhelming for students and their parents. Most applications are due within a narrow window of time between fall and winter of a student’s senior year. If students are applying to more than one college or university, the number of essays they will need to write can quickly multiply.

I work with students at whichever level of help they feel they need. Some students feel they are in complete control of their essays and all they need is for someone to check their spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Others may need a little more help sorting through their ideas and thoughts in regards to how to frame their response to essay questions. I can meet with students or talk with them over the phone and give them some ideas on which they might want to write. There are many students who fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. Those students already may have something written down, but it is not quite ready for submission.

I can make sure your essays or statement of purpose are grammatically correct, formatted well, and your voice comes through clearly. Please note that I never write students’ essays or statements of purpose for them; I work with what they have written and help facilitate the expression of that story on paper.
