Editing & Formatting

Masters’ Theses, PhD Dissertations (APA, MLA, and Turabian Formats), Book Manuscripts,
Research Papers, Marketing Materials, and Personal Statements

I offer editing and formatting services to clients with a variety of projects. Do you have a business letter that needs editing? Do you have marketing materials that you want to be sure are error-free? Let me be your final set of eyes to look over your materials prior to your submitting them to your printer. A typo or inconsistency on your materials can reflect on the detail orientation—or lack thereof—in your business.

Do you have a thesis or a dissertation that needs to be edited and formatted? I am your person. I am known to be an expert in the APA format, and I have experience in MLA and Turabian. Some of my past clients have had me edit and format their master’s thesis; then once they started working on their PhD, they contacted me again so I could assist them with their dissertation. As an aside, I have assisted PhD clients with transcribing interviews for their dissertation. Additionally, in the past, I assisted an undergraduate with editing and formatting her bachelor’s degree papers; later on, she hired me to edit and format her master’s thesis; and then further down the road, I created a resume for her.

Sometimes potential clients will contact me and say they have put everything into writing their thesis or dissertation, and the formatting of the document is just more than what they want to deal with. They want to know if I can take it from there. Yes, I can! I need to trust that you have done the research, you know the subject matter, and you have been thorough in your writing. With all of that accomplished, I can take the document and check for formatting issues; carefully compare citations with references; check grammar, spelling, punctuation, and verb tenses; read for consistency in capitalization; and more.

Additional documents you may want me to edit could be any of the following:

  • Book manuscripts
  • Personal and family histories
  • Business letters and other documents
  • Marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and blogs
  • Job application materials
  • Personal statements for college applications
  • Website copy
